I was asked by mother about two weeks ago to help her bring her refrigerator to a shop to be fixed because it does not get cold. So I went to there and asked some help to the refrigerator in the car (Thank God it fitted inside the car), my mother went with me as well. We talked about a lot of things while the car about my sister, father and our business. I really enjoyed talking with her because there are a lot of things to at work at I seldom have time for her. Finally we arrived at the shop and we were told by technician that the peltier cooler of the refrigerator was broken, and asked to get frig back three days from now.

 
As we rode off the shop, I asked my mother if she wanted to eat outside because it is almost lunch time. She said “Yes” so we did. We went to a restaurant and ate there. My mother ate steak and mashed potatoes as for me I ate the same dish as well. While we were eating my told me stories about what is going on at our house (which are mostly hilarious stories). After eating, we went to a mall and I told her that I will give her a shopping spree. Well knowing my mother, she would not buy a lot of things, she would just buy the thing that she really wanted, and she did buy only one pair of shoes. I really enjoyed being with my mom because I miss the times that I was always with her.

My mom and dad are celebrating their twenty fifth wedding anniversary next month and the whole family is excited about it. My father secretly told me that he is planning to buy a necklace with Tahitian Pearls as a gift for my mom on their silver wedding anniversary. I was shocked when I saw the price of the necklace that my dad was planning to buy. This just shows how much my dad still loves my mom even after several years have passed.

 
My mom is a big fan of Pearls so she will definitely love my dad’s gift. She already has a lot of jewelry with sea and Freshwater Pearls and they can already be considered as a collection. However, she is yet to have a jewelry with a Tahitian Pearl so I can already imagine what her face will look like when dad hands over his gift. Our family is filled with love and I am very thankful that my parents are showing us how much they love each other because it makes the family stronger.

Just this morning we woke up because of the undesirable temperature in our home. It seems that our air conditioning broke down once again and it needs some quick fixing. It was really a hassle for us since no one can stay home and get someone to fix it. This is because we all needed to go to the office and school. Well, being a good man, I volunteered to stay and take care of the person who is going to come in our house and fix the air conditioning unit.

 
I also came to think of it that this can also be considered as one rest day. I immediate called the office and filed an emergency leave. I will just make the formal request tomorrow when I come to work. While waiting for the handyman, I was able to watch the movie “I am Legend”. It was a great movie and I didn’t even notice how time flew by. The handyman came and after less than an hour, the air conditioning unit was already fixed. After that I went to my room to read some books and slept.

Being a family of four, having a simple car is just right for our transportation needs. However, it seems that we are going to have a new baby brother and we will need some more car space than what we currently have. My dad is actually planning to apply for a car loan to be able to get a new chevy trailblazer. This will give us enough space even if my mom bears two more children. I sure hope that we’ll get the car loan application approved.

We are all excited because of the new car because my father told us that he’s probably going to get it early next month. But of course, we are more excited about the arriving new member of the family. We are still undecided on what name he’s going to have but we still have eight whole months to think about that. Mom and Dad are now starting to debate on who’s going to look like the baby but I guess they’re just really excited. A new member in the family and a new car are one of the best news to start a new year.
